infrADAC Release v1.6 - The Power of Six

infrADAC BCAD / Installer / v1.6.0.144

infrADAC BCAD Installer v1.6.0.144 stable 07 Oct 2026

infrADAC BCAD Lite · LISP bridge

infrADAC v1.6 adds bulk editing of selected global fields, attribute forms that open specific details first, asset style rules and a docked MCAD Asset Inspector. It brings the workflow to ACAD LT and BCAD Lite alongside ACAD, BCAD, DCAD and MCAD, with one installer and the correct updater for each edition. This cumulative update also includes the audit, export, creation and MCAD integration fixes made since 1.5.6.

Six major upgrades since 1.5.6

01

Bulk edit the fields you choose

Update global attributes across a drawing or a selected group of assets in one action. Choose individual fields, including nested fields such as Engineer Name, using the existing Attribute Details form. Other fields keep their current values. Asset IDs stay protected and assets that do not support global attributes are excluded.

02

Specific attributes come first

Create and edit assets starting with their specific attributes. Save an edit directly or open Global Attributes when you need it. Optional lists have a Nil control and optional structures have an Include control, so you can see which information will be exported.

03

Symbols that follow the asset

Profiles can choose a block or line type from the saved asset attributes. A change to a valve type or pipe diameter can update its appearance while preserving the asset identity and drawing position. Custom profiles retain the drawing resources used by their style rules.

Actual supplied block examples for valve, air valve, scour valve, fire hydrant, water meter and service pit with drinking water, gravity sewer and rising main line types
Examples from the supplied drawing library. The active profile chooses the asset style.
04

Clearer checks and more reliable export

Export audits use a prepared snapshot to reduce repeated scans. The processing window stays visible while the audit runs. Enabled nested structures include their required XML elements and unset nillable values export correctly. Export packages verify the drawing and supporting files before reporting success.

05

MCAD tools inside Office

The new Asset Inspector sits beside the MAGNET / Topcon Office drawing, with quick access to Find, Edit and the saved asset attributes. Conversion identifies unrecognised native fields and the number of affected assets before you decide whether to retain them. Find, labels, hatch boundaries and native drawing export have also been corrected.

06

Six editions with one installer

ACAD LT and BCAD Lite join ACAD, BCAD, DCAD and MCAD. Their compiled CAD bridges provide ADACRun and the drawing commands alongside the external infrADAC application. The installer selects the matching edition and its updater keeps the full and Lite packages separate.

Profiles also have an update. Open the Profiles section in Updates to check your installed packages.

Creation and editing

  • BCAD attribute creation reuses the active insert transaction for attributes and XDATA instead of opening nested write transactions on the new entity.
  • Nested attribute edits activate the relevant structure and preserve unrelated sibling values. Scalar null definitions no longer cause the bulk attribute form to fail.
  • MCAD Bulk Edit can reopen or restore its window. Native selection and Escape cancellation preserve the intended selection.
  • MCAD label placement attaches text to the drawing before applying its layer. Attribute recreation replaces the old separate label rows.
  • MCAD Find routes the selected asset to the native drawing and uses a valid current asset context.

MCAD integration

  • MCAD XML export no longer reports a complete ZIP when its requested DWG export is missing. Filtered drawing export retains the intended asset selection.
  • MCAD conversion preserves native ADAC storage without running database VACUUM inside the active Office document, avoiding invalidated native queries and ADAC settings failures.
  • MCAD job settings are read from the same shared bridge response snapshot, avoiding a second incompatible file open.
  • MCAD ribbon startup prevents recursive window hook installation while creating the Asset Inspector.

Installation and updates

  • BricsCAD Lite detection reads the selected Windows user profile correctly and chooses the Lite package.
  • ACAD LT and BCAD Lite update checks request their own software variant using the correct host licence folder and product identity.
  • Every software ZIP contains the updater and uninstaller. The updater rejects a different host or full/Lite edition before replacing files and repairs the matching ADACRun startup loader.
  • Full and Lite update histories exclude releases for the other edition.

Export and dependencies

  • Older closed lot and easement boundaries with a redundant straight closing seam can export without a false self intersection error. Real crossings and touching rings remain invalid.
  • MCAD includes the corrected native SQLite dependency.
  • Export uses the active profile audit result instead of a second fixed schema check that could reject an accepted profile export.
  • Drawing Number is required only when the active profile requires it.
